Bronze Works
A bronze flower, formed from a single flat sheet of wax casted into bronze with a black patina. The edges have been finished with a mirror polish, emphasising the object and creating an appearance of elegance — contrasting the golden bronze against the flat black patina.

Found on the forest floor, lying amidst the leaves – unappreciated, the naturally weathered piece of wood, full of curves, voids and interesting patterns, was beautifully imbued with inherent value.
To emphasise this value, two mirror-polished pieces of bronze were added to the wooden form. Keenan utilises bronze's material value and traditional use as a high art-making material, to evoke a sense of elegance. By mimicking the wood's formality Keenan elevates the wood’s value, harmonising the two materials to create a visually striking contrast of materials that emphasise the wood’s formal qualities.
